The NC Board of Legal Specialization partnered with a local marketing agency to conduct an awareness survey of North Carolina residents. Our goal was to gather a better understanding of whether or not North Carolinians:

  1. Are aware that lawyers are not required to be Board Certified.
  2. Have a clear understanding of what a Board Certified Lawyer offers.
  3. Show a preference towards Board Certification when compared to years of experience.

The results of this survey were intriguing, to say the least! 63% of survey participants would hire a board certified specialist over a lawyer with more years of experience. What does this mean for you? Be sure you are displaying your “Board Certification” clearly when marketing yourself and/or your practice.
